Cross-Platform Messaging and Notifications

Intel Unison allows users to send and receive SMS messages from their PC. To use this, you first ensure your phone and PC are paired within the application. When a new text arrives, a notification pops up on your desktop. You can click this alert to open a dedicated messaging window within Intel Unison and type your reply using your physical keyboard. This workflow keeps your conversation flow uninterrupted without needing to pick up your phone, syncing all message history between devices.

Managing Phone Calls from Your Desktop

This function enables you to answer or make calls through your PC’s audio system. When your connected phone rings, Intel Unison displays an incoming call notification on your screen. You can choose to accept or decline the call using your mouse or keyboard. For outgoing calls, you can dial a new number or select a contact from your synced phonebook directly in the Intel Unison interface. This integrates telephony into your computer workflow, which is ideal for hands-free communication during work.

Direct File and Photo Transfers

Intel Unison facilitates quick file sharing between devices without using cloud services. To transfer a file, you open the Intel Unison panel on your PC and select the photos or documents you wish to send. You then drag and drop them into the application’s interface, or use the dedicated send button, to instantly push them to your mobile device. The reverse is also true; you can select files on your phone to send to your PC. This creates a simple, local transfer workflow that bypasses upload delays.

Accessing Your Mobile Gallery

You can browse your phone’s most recent photos directly on your PC monitor. After launching Intel Unison, you navigate to the gallery section. The application automatically syncs and displays the images from your mobile device’s camera roll. From here, you can view, save, or drag photos directly into other PC applications like document editors or Slack. This provides immediate access to your mobile content without manually connecting cables or emailing images to yourself.

Device Pairing and Connection Management

The initial setup for Intel Unison involves a straightforward pairing process. You start by installing the application on both your Windows PC and your mobile device. Open Intel Unison on both, and the PC app will display a QR code. You then scan this code with your phone’s camera to establish a secure, encrypted link between the two devices via Bluetooth. The Intel Unison connection is designed to remain persistent, automatically reconnecting when both devices are in range.

Multi-Device Notification Sync

Beyond calls and messages, Intel Unison mirrors other notifications from your phone to your PC. This aggregates alerts from your various mobile apps into a single stream on your desktop. You can customize which applications are allowed to push notifications through Intel Unison, helping to minimize distractions. Clicking on a notification will often open the relevant Intel Unison panel or, for some alerts, can deep link back to the source on your mobile device, creating a connected informational ecosystem.
