This digital solution replaces the need for physical coins and paper tickets, allowing users to manage their entire parking session from their smartphone. The primary reason to use PrestoPark is to gain a faster, more convenient, and secure method for handling parking fees, directly from your device. The app provides clear pricing, timely reminders, and a full digital history of all transactions.

Real-Time Interactive Zone Mapping

Upon opening PrestoPark, users are presented with an interactive map of their current city. This map displays all streets and car parks where the PrestoPark service is active. Users can tap on any highlighted zone to see specific details, including the current pricing structure, maximum stay limits, and any special regulations. This allows a driver to plan their parking before they even arrive, ensuring they select a compliant and cost-effective spot. The PrestoPark map is the central hub for initiating every parking session.

Digital Ticket Activation and Payment

To begin parking, a user first confirms their vehicle and payment card are registered in PrestoPark. They then either use the map to select their zone or scan a QR code found on official street signage, which automatically inputs the location into the app. The user sets their desired parking duration using a slider or by typing an end time; the cost updates in real-time. After reviewing the final charge, they tap “Start Parking” to activate the digital ticket. PrestoPark immediately processes the secure payment and the session is live.

Proactive Session Expiry Alerts

A core function of PrestoPark is its notification system, which helps users avoid parking fines. The user can configure the app to send a push alert 5, 15, or 30 minutes before their paid time expires. When this alert appears on their phone, they can choose to ignore it if they are returning to their vehicle or tap it to open PrestoPark directly. This feature provides a crucial warning, giving the user the opportunity to extend their session remotely if needed, without rushing.

Remote Session Extension and Management

If a user’s plans change and they need more time, they can easily extend their parking without returning to the meter. Upon receiving an expiry alert or by manually opening the active session in PrestoPark, they select the “Extend” option. The app presents them with duration increments (e.g., 10, 20, or 30 minutes) and displays the new end time and the prorated cost for the extension. After confirming, PrestoPark processes the additional payment seamlessly. This entire process is completed in a few taps, offering maximum flexibility.

Early Termination and Digital Receipts

Should a user finish their parking early, PrestoPark ensures they only pay for the time they used. They simply open the app, view their active session, and tap the “Stop” button. The system immediately concludes the parking and calculates the final charge based on the precise stop time. A detailed digital receipt is then generated and saved within the PrestoPark transaction history. This receipt includes the license plate, zone location, start and end times, and total amount paid, which can be exported for expense reporting.

Multi-Vehicle and Multi-Card Account Management

PrestoPark supports complex user needs through its robust account settings. A single account can have multiple vehicle license plates and several credit or debit cards saved. To park, the user simply selects the correct vehicle from their list before starting a session. Likewise, they can choose a default payment method or select a different card for each transaction. This makes PrestoPark ideal for households with several cars or businesses that need to manage parking for an entire fleet from one central account.
